Can a SQL Server database be accessed via ODBC _without_ specifying the user name and password if the SQL Server is not on the same server as IIS?<BR><BR>TIA.<BR><BR>Sharkfish
I think if you use NT Authentication in ODBC, and the IIS machine can be authenticated correctly by the SQL Server machine, you might be able to pull it off...but I have never heard of anyone recomending it.
it hasn't worked so far. I thought, why should I pass a SQL SErver user name and password over the internet if I don't have to? Your comments or suggestions are welcome.<BR><BR>sharkfish
