    Default XQL availability

While XSL can query based on the existance or not of elements and do simple comparison it lacks any string query capability. (e.g. name = "sm*th" or postcode begins &#039;RG&#039;).<BR><BR>Do others find this restrictive? What news of an XQL implementation within IE or anything else for that matter.<BR><BR>And finally why are responses to questions drying up in this forum?

I know with xPath you can use substring, contains and similar functions. There are no wildcards, but there is usually another way to do it.
