i've been working on an script that is executing commands on the web server. The script works for simple commands as DIR, but not with PING, CACLS... It returns success but it doesnt do anything. Executing the command manually on the command prompt works. Thanks!

Here is the code : (Im running as an administrator)

<%
szCMD = "CACLS E:WEBTESTDIR /e /r everyone"

Set oScript = Server.CreateObject("WSCRIPT.SHELL")
Set oScriptNet = Server.CreateObject("WSCRIPT.NETWORK")
Set oFileSys = Server.CreateObjec("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
' -- Use a poor man's pipe ... a temp file -- '
szTempFile = "C:\" & oFileSys.GetTempName( )
Call oScript.Run ("cmd.exe /c " & szCMD & " > "& szTempFile, 0, True)
Set oFile = oFileSys.OpenTextFile (szTempFile, 1, False, 0)

if RetCode = 0 Then

response.write "success!!!"
response.write "Retcode: " & retcode

else

response.write "failed!!!"
response.write retcode

end if
%>

I am not sure if there needs to be a special configuration on the webserver or not.
